Kanda is delighted to have been part of the team working for Dean Main at Henigman, alongside DP9 and Piercy and Co, on the proposals for 155 & 157 Regent’s Park Road, which were granted approval by Camden’s Planning Committee in August.
The plans will deliver:
• A part-4 and part-7 storey building
• A 59-room hotel to support the nearby Roundhouse
• New public realm improvements around the site
Kanda worked with the team on a revised application that responded to previous feedback from the local community to deliver a planning application that was sensitive to the surrounding context in this part of Camden.
Kanda led on the public consultation via a dedicated consultation website and postal exhibition sent to over 1,500 local residents, whilst also organising a series of meetings with local councillors to discuss the proposals.
The consultation process helped to secure strong support for a new hotel at this location and the associated investment in the local area. There was also recognition of an exceptionally high quality and contextual design approach from Piercy and Co Architects.
We’ve enjoyed being part of such a great team and can’t wait to see the project being delivered.
