At Kanda we are lucky enough to have an incredibly diverse and talented team of advisors who are vital in helping us to shape our business and support clients with the delivery of ground-breaking programmes and communications advice. We are therefore pleased to recognise the hard work of four exceptional individuals and have promoted Alex Sabin, Jack Johnson, Isabelle Price, and Mark Harrison.
Alex Sabin has also been promoted to Account Director. Alex joined Kanda in 2019 – having previously worked in public affairs – and has provided valuable advice and support on projects of all types and sizes, drawing on his political knowledge, analytical prowess, and communications skills. He is proud to have worked on a number of large-scale and complex developments across London and beyond – including Holloway Prison and Slough Central – and is passionate about delivering much-needed growth and direct, tangible benefits for communities.
Congratulations to Jack who has been promoted to Senior Account Manager. While he originally pursued a degree in music, a passion for politics and networking comes as second nature and his up-to-date understanding of all aspects of the planning and property landscape means that clients are kept well informed at all times. With a background in central Government communications, Jack offers clients a comprehensive insight into how the UK’s political systems operate, and the intricacies involved in drafting key legislation.
Alongside Jack, Isabelle Price has been promoted to Associate Director. Isabelle joined Kanda four years ago, bringing experience from a large integrated communications agency. She has been a key part of Kanda’s growth, working initially in our London team and more recently supporting the development of our Kanda Place practice helping to guide clients through placemaking and community engagement expertise. Isabelle has led on some of Kanda’s most exciting projects, including both the Slough Central and Canada Water Dockside masterplans, taking pride in the community investment that these projects bring.
And finally, another big congratulations to Mark Harrison who has also been promoted to Associate Director. Mark draws on his previous experience as a Lambeth Labour councillor, advising clients on the political context of London Labour boroughs such as Southwark, Waltham Forest, Hackney, and Camden. Mark particularly enjoys supporting clients through complex and thorough engagement programmes, such as the consent for 345 new homes at Lea Bridge Station sites. Mark also currently coordinates Kanda’s engagement work for Hines’ 18 Blackfriars Road proposals in Southwark.
We’re incredibly proud of our people at Kanda and offer a range of benefits and perks to help reward and invest in our employees. These include employee away days and overnight trips to help build relationships and teamwork, monthly lunches, and other socials to bring everyone together, and a comprehensive training programme that includes an annual development budget and ‘Lunch and Learn’ sessions.
