Allan specialises in public affairs, strategic communications, stakeholder engagement and planning communications, advising organisations operating in complex political, regulatory and public policy environments.

From 2008 – 2021, he served as an elected City Councillor with seven years on the Planning Committee. He has 20 years’ experience spanning local government, regional politics and consultancy. He spent seven years as a senior advisor to the first elected Mayor of the West Midlands, Sir Andy Street.

Allan has advised public and private sector organisations on devolution, regeneration, infrastructure, healthcare, planning and economic development & has built an extensive network across central and local government.
