Emma is an experienced Associate Director with almost 10 years’ experience working in planning communications. She has spent her career working mostly in the regions, working as far north as Leeds and as far south as the Isle of Wight. She has concentrated particularly on the east of England, namely Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire and Kent, where she has worked with a huge variety of clients. She has also focussed on larger, more complicated sites, such as new settlements, greenbelt sites and garden towns, or on projects which consider the broader vision and aspirations of a place or plan. Emma leads on many of Kanda’s projects in the East of England or outside of London, and provides support on larger, more complicated strategic schemes across the country.

Emma’s experience outside of London has given her the chance to work with a huge variety of different communities, from busy and densely populated city centres to rural hamlets. Her clients have been varied, including councils such as LBHF, public bodies such as Historic England, volume housebuilders such as Taylor Wimpey, community-focussed organisations such as the Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation and housing associations such as L&Q.

Emma has supported clients at every stage of the planning process, right from site selection and promotion through to construction comms. She is well placed to give tailored and specific advice on all projects and understands how to support clients to build relationships quickly in new locations.
